The islands off North Berwick offer a unique view of the many seabirds that visit during the summer months. It is estimated that 150,000 seabirds including Gannets, Terns,Puffins, Kittiwakes, Cormorants & Guillimots arrive each year. Common & Grey seals are to be seen around the islands and find them an attractive sanctuary to have there pups at the end of the year. The addition of the Scottish Seabird Centre at the harbour has created great interest in the area & brought ornithologists from all over the world to this unique attraction. |
