Sea Angling

The Firth of Forth is ideal for sea angling with its islands, ridges, reefs & hard ground where fish such as Pollack, Cod, Wrasse, Ling & Saithe feed. Baits such as lug & rag worm are usually the best, but squid, mussels & mackerel strip  are also worth a try.

Artificial lures such as feathers, fluorescent squid & pirks can also be effective.

The inshore area between North Berwick & Dunbar is most productive during the summer months, while the  May Island can produce some specimen catches.

The Mackerel arrive in July & August giving great sport.
